A YEAR-END CHECK THAT MATTERS
Check your own plan.
This is not a universal deadline.
Unused FSA money can be forfeited after your plan’s spending window. If your plan follows the calendar year, check your December 31 spending deadline now.
Some plans offer a limited carryover or a grace period of up to 2½ months. A later claim-submission deadline does not, by itself, give you extra time to incur an expense.
No annual use-it-or-lose-it rule.
HSA funds carry forward from year to year. You do not need to rush a purchase to avoid a December 31 reset.
Paying with an ordinary card does not remove HSA eligibility. Follow your custodian’s self-reimbursement process and retain your documentation.
FSA and HSA have different rules. FSA deadlines depend on your plan. HSA balances do not expire annually. IRS account guidance ↗

THE PAPERWORK THAT HELPS
After placing your order, email us your order number to request an itemized invoice for your FSA/HSA reimbursement records.
A credit-card slip or bank statement usually does not show enough detail to substantiate a medical purchase. Keep itemized documentation with your payment records.
An invoice supports your documentation; reimbursement approval remains subject to your account’s rules. This checklist is not an invoice or proof of purchase.

Reading glasses needed for vision correction are generally a qualified medical expense. The four styles above offer corrective reading powers. Reimbursement still depends on account eligibility, timing and documentation. This is not a product-specific approval or guarantee from the IRS or your plan.
No. An FSA usually has a plan-year spending window, and some plans allow a carryover or grace period. December 31 applies only if it is your plan’s deadline. HSA balances roll over annually.
Yes. You can pay out of pocket and then follow the appropriate FSA claim or HSA self-reimbursement process for a qualifying expense. This page does not promise direct acceptance of an FSA/HSA benefit debit card at checkout.
Do not rely on payment date alone. Ask your administrator which incurred-expense date applies to an online purchase and allow time for fulfillment or delivery if needed. A claim-filing run-out period does not automatically extend your spending window.
Yes. After ordering, email help@sunrayeyes.com with your order number to request an itemized invoice for your FSA/HSA reimbursement records. Your administrator or custodian’s documentation rules still apply.
No. FSA claims are reviewed under your plan’s rules. HSA owners must substantiate qualifying withdrawals with records. SunRay does not approve claims or guarantee an account decision or reimbursement time.
FSAFEDS lists over-the-counter reading glasses as eligible with a detailed receipt, rather than requiring a prescription in that listing. Check your own administrator’s requirements and choose the reading correction you need.
Keep the refund record and contact your FSA administrator or HSA custodian about correcting any reimbursement or withdrawal. Do not retain a tax-free reimbursement for a refunded expense.
FSA holders: confirm your deadline. HSA holders: your balance rolls over.
